What started as an instagram account for professional sports, Barstool, has now turned into a staple at every school. But where is Breck’s Barstool? The original creator of Breck’s Barstool made funny content of the Brecks’ sports teams that pushed the subjective fine line between humor and disrespect. When the sarcasm and slander got out of hand, the account was taken down. 

Though, Breck Barstool didn’t fall easily. Recently, a new account popped up mainly posting basketball edits. People outside of the basketball team didn’t take much liking to this account like the last one—probably due to its lack of variety. Yet, it was still a staple on everyone’s instagram feed, and people looked forward to the new updates and memes. The new Barstool account sadly had a short life—only surviving a month or two— due to an inappropriate post about another school’s basketball team, not representing the values of Breck or good sportsmanship. 

Will there be a third Barstool account in the future? Only time will tell, but for now all we can do is watch the hockey edits on instagram reels.
