After 10 successful years playing for Manchester City, legendary soccer player Kevin De Bruyne has left the team, pursuing a fresh start after the expiration of his contract. He is rumored to be joining MLS team Chicago Red Fire after the summer transfer window but the rumors are not confirmed.
De Bruyne joined Manchester City in 2015 for 55 million Euros from VFL Wolfsburg, a team in the German Bundesliga. He went on to win the Premier League in 2017-18, 18-19, 20-21, 21-22, 22-23, and 23-24, completing a historic four league titles in a row. He also won the Champions League in 2022-23, marking Manchester City’s first ever Champions League trophy.
Kevin De Bruyne has been a crucial midfielder for Manchester City, scoring 71 goals and providing 119 assists during his time at the club. “No one can and will be able to match the talent and ability of Kevin De Bruyne,” said Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. “He is a game changer both on and off the court and his talent will be missed.”
