Since when did artificial intelligence get so murderous? M3GAN stands for Model 3 Generative Android. She is a wonder of AI, a humanoid doll that’s designed to be a child’s best friend. Programmed by robotics engineer Gemma, M3GAN can watch, understand and learn things about the world around her. Gemma is in charge of her niece Cady, and she decides to give Cady her M3GAN prototype, which ends up being an awful decision. Although this movie may seem frightening at first, it is full of jokes and even has a few song and dance numbers thrown in. 

If you’re looking for a cinematic masterpiece, M3GAN may not seem like the best choice, but in reality the horror and comedy pair perfectly, creating a compelling and intriguing film. Some of the highlights of the movie include M3GAN singing Titanium, by Sia, as she expresses her love for Cady. M3GAN is full of moments like this, ones that are unconventional, yet extremely comedic. Although this movie is full of humor, it’s important to note that there is some horror involved as well. M3GAN is a homicidal doll who is created with the desire to kill. Throughout the movie, she commits a series of gruesome murders, all while hiding them from Cady and Gemma.

Overall, this movie was funny, scary, and extremely entertaining. M3GAN is the perfect film to watch as your first horror movie, but it is also great for someone who is already a horror connoisseur. At the end of the day, would you be friends with M3GAN?
